“Mother and Child” - winner of the prestigious Prize for the Call to Medicine

It was possible to perform the most complicated surgical intervention and save an unborn child with a severe heart defect thanks to a team of our doctors headed by Mark Arkadyevich Kurtzer, the founder and head of the Mother and Child Group of Companies, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The operation was performed in the 27th week of pregnancy, and Leva was born in the 38th week. Now he is 2 years old and healthy.

For their outstanding contribution to the development of medicine and for successfully performing the first such operation in Russia, the specialists of Mother and Child became the winners of the Prize for the Call to Medicine - one of the most respected projects in Russian healthcare, established by Channel One and the Russian Ministry of Health.

In 2025, the award celebrates a quarter of a century.
