20th anniversary of the Group hospital at Sevastopol Avenue – Russia's first private maternity hospital
Today, the MD GROUP Clinical Hospital of the Mother and Child Group of Companies ((“MD Medical”, "Group" or the "Company"; MOEX: MDMG) celebrates its 20th anniversary. The Perinatal Medical Center (renamed in 2020 as the MD GROUP Clinical Hospital), built according to a custom design in January 2006, marked the beginning of the Mother and Child Group – a leading Russian private healthcare provider.
Immediately after its opening, the Perinatal Medical Center became one of the most popular medical institutions in Moscow, combining the high professionalism of its doctors with the most modern equipment and an exceptional level of comfort. The Perinatal Medical Center actively developed, and in 2020 it underwent a major renovation, after which the center became a multidisciplinary MD GROUP hospital, providing high-tech medical care not only to women in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and perinatology but also to all family members across various medical specialties. The renovation and rebranding of the MD GROUP hospital became an important milestone in the company's transformation into a multidisciplinary medical holding.
Today, MD GROUP is a 27,600 sq. m hospital employing over 1,100 specialists, including 450 doctors. Over the twenty years of the hospital's existence, it has:

Doctors of MD GROUP Hospital contribute to the development of domestic medicine, creating new technologies and treatment methods. The hospital develops and successfully implements innovative medical technologies - hybrid operations and organ-preserving blood-saving techniques, which allow for obstetric and gynecological interventions with minimal blood loss and maintain the health and reproductive function of women.
Fetal surgery is actively developing at MD GROUP Hospital – intrauterine operations are performed to correct developmental defects in unborn children. In 2023, MD GROUP Hospital performed the first intrauterine surgery in Russia to correct a heart defect in a fetus. In total, more than 380 different intrauterine surgical interventions have been carried out in the hospital's fetal surgery department.
MD GROUP Hospital is also a leader in providing care for newborn patients. The hospital's doctors successfully nurture premature babies born with extremely low birth weights (from 400 to 1000 g). Today, MD GROUP is the only medical institution in our country where complex surgeries are performed on premature children.
For the development and implementation of advanced treatment methods, the hospital's medical team, together with the team from the Group’s Lapino Hospital, was awarded the prestigious healthcare Prize for the Call to Medicine in 2013 and 2025.
