MGIMO-MED celebrated Student Day
MGIMO-MED Medical University, owned by MD Medical Group IPJSC (“MD Medical”, “Mother and Child”, "Group" or the "Company"), a leading Russian private healthcare provider, celebrated Student Day for the first time, laying down a new tradition - to celebrate this day outdoors with friends of the university.
On this day, the students were congratulated by the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, the MGIMO administration, academicians, heads of the largest Moscow hospitals, leading doctors, members of the public and, of course, Rector of MGIMO-MED, Marc Kurtser.

MGIMO-MED Medical University was established on June 17, 2021 on the initiative of the Governor of the Moscow Region Mr. Vorobyov, who headed the university's Supervisory Board. The founders of MGIMO-MED are the Mother and Child Group of Companies and MGIMO University. The educational process at MGIMO-MED is carried out on the sites of the Company's multidisciplinary clinical hospitals “Lapino” and “MD Group Michurinsky”, which have all modern medical capabilities, as well as on the sites of the MGIMO Odintsovo campus. Students have their major subjects at the leading medical and research institutions of Moscow and the Moscow Region, including Pirogov Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education of Russia, Erisman Federal Research Centre of Hygiene, Gamaleya Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Botkin State Clinical Hospital, Yudin State Clinical Hospital No. 7, Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 2, and others.
Currently, 89 students are enrolled in the three-year specialty program “Medicine” and 52 residents are studying at MGIMO-MED.
The goal of MGIMO-MED is to provide motivated and serious students with the most up-to-date medical education with a broad theoretical and practical base. Students study in small groups, so that each of them receives the necessary amount of knowledge. In addition, students have a large number of hours of English language: a modern doctor must keep up to date with international science and be able to read and communicate fluently in English.
