MGIMO-MED Medical Univercity Graduates

At the MGIMO-MED Medical University, owned by MD Medical Group IPJSC (“MD Medical”, “Mother and Child”, "Group" or the "Company"), a leading Russian private healthcare provider, the first graduation of residents took place.

University residents successfully completed a two-year course of study. All graduates are in demand and received job offers in the country's leading medical institutions.

In 2023, 16 people were enrolled in the MGIMO-MED residency in the specialty "Obstetrics and Gynecology," 3 residents - in the specialty "Oncology." In 2025, all 19 residents successfully passed the state exam.

During the ceremony, the graduates were congratulated and admonished by the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences, Rector of MGIMO Anatoly Torkunov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, General Director of the Mother and Child, Rector of MGIMO-MED Mark Kurtser, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, President of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology named after Dmitry Rogachev" of the Ministry of Health of Russia Alexander Rumyantsev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Chief Freelance Specialist in Obstetrics, Moscow Department of Health, Deputy Chief Physician for Obstetric and Gynecological Care GBUZ "GKB No. 31 named after Academician G.M. Savelyeva DZM" Anton Olenev and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Chief Physician of the Oncology Center of the Lapino Clinical Hospital Mikhail Davydov. The chief doctors of the Lapino and MD Group hospitals, heads of departments, doctors and employees of the Mother and Child group of companies came to rejoice for their students.

One of the most important features of training at MGIMO-MED is a unique program, a significant part of which is extensive medical practice. Specialists from Mother and Child hospitals and other leading specialized federal and Moscow medical centers were involved in the training of residents. The educational process at MGIMO-MED is based on a combination of the traditional approach to the training of medical specialists with modern requirements and industry trends.

It is important to note that in the context of a personnel shortage in medicine, the Mother and Child group of companies, using the capabilities of MGIMO-MED University, assumes the cost of preparing its own personnel reserve. MGIMO-MED trains highly qualified specialists not only for clinics and hospitals of the Group, but also for domestic health care: some of the residency graduates accepted an offer to work in other leading state institutions. Many young doctors go to work in the regions, thus contributing to the spread of high standards of quality and professionalism of the Mother and Child throughout the country.

Fifteen graduates of MGIMO-MED residency (12 obstetricians-gynecologists and 3 oncologists) remain to work in the Mother and Child group of companies - both in Moscow and regional medical institutions (Moscow, Moscow region, Samara, Anapa, Ryazan, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk), four were employed in state medical institutions of the Moscow region.
