MD Medical Signs a Cooperation Agreement with the Samara Region Government during SPIEF
On 5 June 2024, MD Medical Group (“MD Medical Group”, “the Group” or “the Company”), one of the largest private healthcare companies in Russia, signed a cooperation agreement with the Government of the Samara Region as part of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
The agreement was signed by Marat Tugushev, Chief Physician of the IDK Hospital and Clinic Network (part of MD Medical Group), and Dmitry Bogdanov, Acting Minister of Economic Development of the Samara Region.
The cooperation focuses on implementing an investment project to ramp up the capacity of the Samara-based IDK clinical hospital.
Today, IDK hospital is a state-of-the-art medical centre offering a wide range of outpatient and inpatient healthcare services to residents of the Samara Region and beyond, including in traumatology and orthopaedics, oncology, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive medicine, paediatrics, and bariatrics. The IDK hospital serves as a unique platform for high-tech surgeries in the region accommodating an advanced laboratory base and departments of ultrasound and functional diagnostics, radiology, and endoscopy.
Its development will help meet the growing demand for quality medical care, while also creating new jobs in the region and attracting highly skilled medical workers and investment into the industry. On top of that, this project is set to boost the Samara Region’s investment appeal and contribute to developing local healthcare.
