MD Medical completed the acquisition of real estate for a hospital in Moscow
MD Medical Group IPJSC (“MD Medical”, “MDMG”, "Group" or the "Company"; MOEX: MDMG), a leading Russian private healthcare provider, announces a real estate acquisition to open a new hospital in Moscow.
The acquired eight-story building, with an area of 17,954 square meters, is located in Moscow's North-Eastern Administrative District at 15 Zubarev Lane, Bldg. 1. The transaction is valued at RUB 2.4 billion to be financed through the Company’s own resources spread across several instalments.
After the building is renovated and equipped with medical equipment, the Company plans to launch a new multidisciplinary hospital in the second half of 2027. The estimate of the additional investments required for construction and equipment procurement will be disclosed after the design phase is completed.
This transaction is fully in line with the Company's strategy to strengthen its position in Moscow and the Moscow region and to expand the hospital segment. The hospital's convenient location with accessible logistics will allow for rapid utilization of the new medical facility's capacity. Patient routing will also involve the Group's outpatient clinic, operating since the middle of this year in the Mira Avenue area. The capacity of the new hospital will significantly increase the volume of medical care in Moscow, including due to the high quality standards adopted by the Mother and Child Group.
The new hospital will offer a wide range of outpatient and inpatient services for adults and children, including surgery, and provide medical care in the fields of deliveries and IVF. The capacity of the multidisciplinary hospital will allow for approximately 3,000 deliveries per year, 300,000 outpatient visits, 1,200 IVF punctures, 12,000 surgical procedures, and up to 20,000 inpatient days.
