Launch of Ophthalmology and Eye Microsurgery Centre at MD Group Michurinsky hospital

MD Medical Group IPJSC (“MD Medical”, "Group" or "Company”; MOEX: MDMG), a leading Russian private healthcare provider, announces the opening of an Ophthalmology and Eye Microsurgery Centre at its MD Group Michurinsky hospital in Moscow.

The new centre’s unique proposition is founded on three pillars: the expertise of its leading experts, cutting-edge medical technology, and the comfortable environment characteristic of MDMG clinics. The centre will be led by Sergey Abramov, PhD (Med), a top-tier ophthalmic surgeon with over two decades of experience and more than 30,000 surgical procedures performed.

The facility is equipped with the latest technology from premier global manufacturers, including next-gen femtosecond lasers, state-of-the-art vitreoretinal surgery systems, and advanced laser treatment and diagnostic equipment. This instrumentation enables our doctors to employ innovative and proprietary methods for vision correction and eye microsurgery. The combination of world-class staff and cutting-edge technology allows for procedures of any complexity, including highly specialised surgeries performed by only a handful of experts in Russia.

As a 24/7 multidisciplinary hospital, MD Group Michurinsky boasts comprehensive infrastructure that includes an intensive care unit, operating theatres, diagnostic rooms, and a full team of health professionals complementing one another. This integrated environment enables us to offer surgical ophthalmology services to patients with comorbidities, ensuring seamless support from other medical specialists. Though opened just two years ago, the MD Group Michurinsky hospital has already become a significant contributor to the Group’s revenue in the Moscow Region. This additional investment in its expansion and broadening the range of its healthcare services represents a key strategic step. It is aimed at consistently enhancing the quality of medical care, increasing access to modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities, and improving long-term financial performance. Total investment in opening and equipping the Centre was RUB 280 million financed entirely through the Company’s own resources.
